PCL&P Plans Power Outage for Important Repairs

 Eastern Dingman Township to be Affected

MILFORD, Pa November 4, 2014 --- Pike County Light & Power Company (PCL&P) is scheduling a power outage affecting 2,570 customers for 11:00PM Wednesday, November 12 to safely make a series of critical maintenance and electric service reliability improvements in advance of the winter season.

 

Approximately 20 O&R technicians from electric overhead and underground operations fan out through the PCL&P service area to perform necessary line maintenance work on six separate service improvement projects simultaneously. Those projects require the electricity to be shut off so crews can work safely.

 

Nearly 99% of the work is due to be completed and the customers’ service restored by 1:00AM. The remainder of the customers’ service will be returned shortly thereafter.

 

The service interruption will begin at Hulst Drive and run west on Route 209. It will affect: parts of the Borough of Matamoras, the Borough of Milford, and , Milford, Dingman and Westfall Townships.

 

PCL&P has notified the news media, public safety authorities and local government officials about these plans and is scheduling a series of automated telephone calls to alert customers about this work.
