Welcome to the Dingman Township Building Department
In 1979, the Dingman Township Board of Supervisors recognized the need to protect its citizens by implementing minimum construction standards. As a result, they enacted the Dingman Township Building Ordinance. The Ordinance required that building permits be obtained and that all structures be constructed in accordance with the B.O.C.A. National Building Code.
In 1999, the entire Commonwealth was ordered to follow Dingman Township's example when legislators passed the Uniform Construction Code requiring municipalities to permit and inspect building construction.
