Welcome to the Dingman Township Zoning Department

IOn September 3, 1974 the Dingman Township Zoning Ordinance became effective.  The Ordinance was the culmination of years of hard work by the Dingman Township Board of Supervisors and its Planning Commission who recognized the township's potential and foresaw the need to regulate its growth.  The Ordinance is reviewed on a periodic basis and updated as needed to remain current in our changing environment. In accordance with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, the Dingman Township Zoning Ordinance classifies permit applications into four categories.  Principal Uses and Accessory Uses are issued directly by the Zoning Officer.  Conditional Uses require a public hearing before the Board of Supervisors.  Special Exceptions and Variances require a public hearing before the Zoning Hearing Board.  All zoning permit applications must be initiated through the Zoning Officer.

The Dingman Township Zoning Officer is Robyn Ficken  She conducts office hours Monday through Friday between 9 and 10:30  AM and at the Dingman Township Municipal Building on Fisher Lane.  Requests for inspections must be made directly with the Zoning Officer during office hours.  Inspection requests sent by e-mail, fax, etc. will not be honored.  Violation complaints must be made in writing and contain the signature and telephone number of the person making the complaint.  Anonymous complaints will not be accepted.  Parties filing complaints should provide sufficient detail to positively identify the violation site.
